I made an appointment for 11:30 AM to have my tires rotated. I waited at CostCo, sitting on their hard benches in the food court. At 12:56 I was texted and the message read that my car was ready. When I went to the service desk the worker informed me that they had no record of my tires being rotated in the specified time so my warranty was no longer valid. Being that my tire warranty from Bridgestone had evidently been rendered void, CostCo would not rotate the tires. I argued that my tires had been rotated BUT even if they were denying the warranty from Bridgestone, CostCo provided as part of their service, free rotation. I was then informed that the tires were badly pitted and cracked and that I needed them replaced. These tires had 33K miles and looked in fine shape to me. I asked to see the manager and was directed to the assistant manager. He told me the same thing, parroting what his worker said. He also appeared to try to direct me into buying a new set of tires. I left, defeated and in pain from my 70 year old back having to waste time on a hard, unsupported bench. I recently visited the Pocatello Costco Tire Center for scheduled tire maintenance and left with serious concerns about both the customer experience and the transparency of Costco's tire warranty program. Upon arrival, the check-in process was unreasonably slow, and the staff — while clearly overwhelmed — were visibly stressed and rushed, which made for an unwelcoming interaction. This was not an isolated incident; the same atmosphere has been present on every visit I have made to this location. My more pressing concern, however, is with how the tire warranty and its associated services are represented at the point of sale. I had allowed my Costco membership to lapse, as I no longer use it for general shopping. When I arrived for my scheduled maintenance appointment — services I understood to be included in the cost of my tires — I was informed, quite curtly, that no work would be performed without an active membership. What I find misleading is that while these maintenance appointments are marketed as "free" and are required to keep the tire warranty valid, accessing them necessitates an annual membership fee of at least $65. My family and I were driving from Utah to Washington for a little family vacation, when we got a nail in our tire causing our whole tire to go flat. After switching to a spare, we were able to trudge to this wonderful Costco tire center, where Ricardo and Bryan were able to help us in purchasing a new tire and changing it for us. They did not complain or make us feel unwelcome, despite us arriving about 15 minutes before the store was set to close. God bless these wonderful souls, who if not were there, would've meant us stranded in Pocatello for the night.

Terrible experience today. If you didn’t have to pick a star to leave a review, I wouldn’t. Went in a couple of weeks ago and was told tires were going on sale and we should order later. Our previous set of tires, also purchased at Costco, had less than half the miles they should have for warranty, so an employee named Mike came out to measure our tread depth and give us an estimate of the warranty money we could expect back. He measured our tires at 2/32nds and estimated $380 back. When I came in to order the tires, I asked about the warranty and was told I needed to pay the full price up front and warranty would be done at installation. I watched the employee named Bryan type “check warranty” in the notes section. After the tires were installed today, we were told nobody said anything about a warranty so they went out to the pile of reject tires and measured “our” tires at 4/32nds and told us there was nothing they could do. The Mike who has helped us previously and quoted $380 was working today and just shrugged his shoulders like he didn’t recognize us even though he had promised all of this was logged on our account. Stopped in today to shop before traveling home to Nevada my daughter saw a screw in our tire they worked us in and made sure we were safe to get back on the road. The staff was professional and very helpful. I would recommend Costco tire center in Pocatello for tire service they were very accommodating.
